From 16 to 18 March 2027, the international conference “Towards a Post-Sustainability Society? New Challenges, Agendas, and Roles in Socio-Ecological Transformations and Their Research” will take place at TU Dortmund University.

The conference is organized by the journal "Soziologie und Nachhaltigkeit - Journal for Socio-Ecological Transformation Research", to which ZIN scholars Niklas Haarbusch, Carsten Ohlrogge and Dr. Björn Wendt contribute to.

We are pleased to share the Call for Papers for the conference. Researchers are invited to submit contributions addressing the question of sustainability “after sustainability.” Abstracts of up to 250 words can be submitted until 15 November 2026.
