HumboldtN-School on sustainability and its communication

September 3–5, 2025, Technical University of Dortmund

From September 3–5, 2025, the HumboldtN School “Sustainability and its Communication: Strategies between Science and Politics” will take place at the Technical University of Dortmund. In interactive workshops, keynotes by leading experts, and a poster walk, participants will discuss interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches for effectively communicating sustainability and develop perspectives, boundaries, and methods: How can scientific findings be incorporated into political processes convincingly? Which narrative, visual, and strategic means are suitable for raising awareness of sustainability issues (including those beyond purely environmental topics)?

The HumboldtN-School is aimed at doctoral students and postdocs from all disciplines at a university in North Rhine-Westphalia. The goal is to promote interdisciplinary exchange and develop innovative approaches. Interested doctoral students and postdocs are invited to apply by July 15, 2025, with a DIN A0 poster.

Contributions from all disciplines are sought that can provide new impetus for the dialogue on sustainability—from environmental sciences to the various humanities and social sciences. There are no participation fees, and accommodation costs can be covered by HumboldtN.
