As part of this year's award ceremony for the best doctoral thesis (graduating with ‘summa cum laude’) at the University of Münster, ZIN Managing Director and political scientist Dr Carolin Bohn received the doctoral thesis award 2024 for work submitted to the Department of Education and Social Sciences at the University of Münster. In her work titled “Transformation through virtue? ‘Green political judgment’ as a key to sustainability-promoting deliberation processes”, the political scientist argued that citizen virtues play a central role in sustainability-oriented participation processes and conducted an empirical study in this context.
