Battery cells "Made in Germany" produced in large series - this is to be supported in future by the Research Fab Battery Cells, a new branch of the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT, in Münster. With its application research and technology transfer to mass production, the Research Fab Battery Cells is building the urgently needed bridge between research and industrial mass production. The project, which is unique in Germany, is funded by the federal government and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and is attracting attention throughout Europe. What opportunities does Battery Fab Research Cells offer small and medium-sized companies? Where can it be used as an innovation accelerator to drive development forward and what form can cooperation take?

These are the questions that the speakers from science and practice will be exploring in the upcoming MEET Academy. Dr. Florian Degen, Head of Strategy & Corporate Development, Research Fab Battery Cells, at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT, will address the topic "Europe's beacon of battery production in Münster - involving industry in a major strategic project". Torge Thönnessen, CEO of CUSTOMCELLS® Itzehoe GmbH, will address the question "With Fraunhofer cooperation to entrepreneurial success: Can the CUSTOMCELLS® - Fraunhofer ISIT cooperation concept serve as a model for the Research Fab Battery Cells?”. In addition to representatives from the fields of technology, science and research, entrepreneurs interested in the topic are invited to attend - especially those from medium-sized industry.
