MEET brings home another poster award

MEET researcher Aleksei Kolesnikov and his colleagues convinced the poster award jury at the Advanced Battery Power 2019 taking place at April 3-4 in Aachen, Germany. Their poster on "Chemical Modification of Lithium-Powder Electrodes for Higher Capacity Utilisation in Lithium-Metal Batteries" won one of the three prizes.

Lithium-metal batteries (LMBs) are experiencing an increasing interest, especially for the automotive sector. The poster presents studies on lithium-powder based electrodes and its application in LMBs. In order to improve the properties of the battery cells, cementation reaction of lithium-powder based electrodes was applied, leading in the end effect to improved cycling performance of LMBs.

Aleksei Kolesnikov studied chemistry at the Orenburg State University (Russia), gained professional experience in the industry and after that continued to study chemistry at the WWU Münster. With his prize, he has won the MEET the 4th poster award this year. Find the first three award winners of this year in the news section.
