Martin Winter reelected into the board of directors of KLiB

The Lithium Ion Battery Competence Network KLiB throughout Germany connects industry, research and public institutions along the value chain of lithium ion batteries. At the reelections of the board of directors on their 8th general meeting the members elected Prof. Dr. Martin Winter as a member of the board of directors and also as associate director and by that confirmed their trust in his engagement.

With Burkard Straube, the newly elected chairman, KLiB continues its work to strengthen the competitiveness of Germany as a location for high tech. Amongst other things by building up and running production lines, staging the conference “Batterieforum Deutschland”, which is sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, or by fostering the dialog on core themes such as battery safety.

“The value chain of lithium ion batteries is comprehensive, especially in consideration of the various application fields. Maintaining a German-wide network of all stakeholders thus is a challenge, but absolutely necessary to take advantage of local assets and to identify weak spots. I am happy to support KLiB for the next two years together with the eleven other members of the board”, says Winter.
