MEET exhibits at AABC Europe Virtual

Broad information on trends and challenges in battery research

MEET Battery Research Center starts 2021 with a conference highlight: From 19 to 21 January 2021, the team of one of Europe's leading battery research centres is part of the Advanced Automotive Battery Conference (AABC) Europe Virtual. As a virtual exhibitor, MEET provides information on the latest research results, cooperation opportunities for science and industry, and upcoming projects. Interested participants can contact the international team of MEET in public or private ZOOM meetings, ask questions and network.

MEET scientists provide insights on trends and challenges in battery research

The team of MEET also holds informative lectures and presents the latest research results at the AABC Europe Virtual. Prof. Dr. Martin Winter, Scientific Director of MEET Battery Research Center at the University of Münster and Helmholtz Institute Münster, a branch of the Forschungszentrum Jülich, leads the symposium focusing on chemistry on the first and second day of the conference. He not only moderates discussion panels, but also provides insights on trends and developments in European and international battery research.

Part of this symposium is the lecture by Dr. Karin Kleiner, leader of the Junior Researchers Group Mechanistic Understanding at MEET Battery Research Center, scheduled for 19 January 2021 at 12:40 pm. The MEET scientist shows which processes and reactions limit the energy density in present cathode materials.

Battery recycling will be focused by Dr. Sascha Nowak, Division Manager Analytics & Environment at MEET Battery Research Center. On 19 January at 12:20 pm, the MEET researcher holds a lecture on possible dangers in handling and storing of lithium-ion batteries during recycling. He also moderates the preceding discussion panel.

All information on the programme and the possibility to register for a fee can be found on the homepage of AABC Europe Virtual 2021.
