Throughout the course the doctoral candidates are continuously supported and assisted in planning and conducting their dissertation as well as their personal qualification by a supervisor team consisting of first and second supervisor. On the basis of a written contract the supervisors and the Ph.D student agree on the conditions of their cooperation and the dissertation project.
Only members of the Graduate School who are habilitated or appointed professors and who work full-time for the Department of Communication can become first supervisor.
The following professors are currently members of the Graduate School:
Professors employed at other departments and faculties of Münster University as well as other universities can assist the young scholars as second supervisors. A study contract is signed between the postgraduate researcher and the Graduate School. The contract consists of a Learning Agreement that specifies the individual assessments the Ph.D candidate commits to fulfilling. Further, the Transcript of Records lists the students’ academic achievements and credit points.
