The MedienAlumni Münster e.V. (MAM) association creates a network between alumni, current students, and lecturers at the department. A good 300 IfK graduates currently belong to the association. The purpose of the association is to promote research and teaching in the field of communication theory, research, and practice.

Specifically, MedienAlumni awards an annual prize of 500 euros for the best Master’s thesis at the IfK. The association sponsors seminar excursions, conference trips and (student) research projects. It also organises a mentoring programme in which experienced professionals support young professionals in their first steps on the job. It keeps its members up to date on developments at the IfK with an annual newsletter. The MAM also provides financial support for the IfK’s graduation ceremonies.

Graduates

The alumni association sends photos (an individual portrait and a group photo) of the graduation ceremony to the IfK graduates as a small reminder of their graduation. The photos are taken at the farewell ceremony.

In addition to the portraits sent by email, the names and titles of the respective degree theses are listed in the gallery.
