Abstract

In recent years, sustainability has become a key strategic issue for companies in Germany. Employees play an important role in this context, as they contribute significantly to the success of corporate sustainability initiatives, must support changes and decisions, and can either drive sustainability forward or hinder it. The study examines employees’ attitudes, perspectives, and preferences regarding sustainability as well as internal sustainability communication efforts. At the heart of the study is an online survey of approximately 1,000 employees from companies headquartered in Germany.
