Afflicted Minds: Symbiose von Ritualen und Schulmedizin

This project contributes to current debates on illness experience, care and therapeutic landscapes in Bali and Java, Indonesia. Based on the collaboration with professional networks already initiated during previous fieldwork, this project investigates the illness experience associated with severe psychiatric disorders as intertwined moral, cognitive, and emotional processes.

The pilot webinar series, Water Restoration and Resilience, in November 2024 showcased community-led water catchment solutions from Timor-Leste, creating a space for communities facing similar challenges - including refugees, young people, women, and those in drought-affected regions - to learn, connect and get inspired.
