Mentorship Program
Our Mentorship Program will start in spring 2026. It engages students and postdocs as volunteers in a variety of journal tasks, offering them valuable editorial experience and academic self-governance skills.
Program Features:
- Roles: Depending on their past experience, mentees contribute to typesetting and reprochecks or participate in the editorial workflow as reprocheckers, reviewers, and associate editors.
- Crediting: Contributions are transparently acknowledged on our editorial team website and within manuscript metadata.
- Integration: The program aligns with FORRT’s Remote Mentorship Program, fostering open and reproducible research practices, particularly for underrepresented groups.
- Community: Mentees will gain connections with leading Open Science scholars and other mentees through joint trainings.
Application:
If you are interested in the program, please reach out to the Journal Manager (see Contact). For every suitable application, the editorial team will try to find a volunteer mentor with appropriate skills and fitting expertise. Provided that a match can be found, we will put the mentor and mentee in contact with each other.
