Laudato si´ und kirchliche Praxis

Abstract

The paper traces – adopting a diachronic and actor-centred perspective – how dioceses, religious orders, and Catholic associations in Germany have responded to the papal encyclical Laudato si’, specifically looking at the years 2015 – 2018, 2018 – 2022 and from 2022 until today. The paper’s central questions: Has the encyclical made a difference and, if so, in what ways? Could it create a new momentum and how and where has this been put into practice?
