General information about the publication in our series

From file to book in the series "Schriften aus dem Haus der Niederlande"*

We support you with consulting and service offerings throughout the various steps of the publication process:

  • Information on creating the document
  • Consulting on formatting
  • Cover design and creation of the title page, including the imprint
  • Assignment of ISBN, URN, and DOI
  • Publication of the online version on miami, the University of Münster's publication server
  • Registration of the title in the "Verzeichnis lieferbarer Bücher" (VLB) (directory of available books) for a period of five years
  • Inclusion in the catalogue of the University and State Library of Münster (ULB)
  • Submission of data to other library catalogues and search engines
  • Information on registering with VG WORT

We are working closely with Waxmann Verlag, which is responsible for producing the published edition.

The Way to the Publication

  • Once your manuscript has been accepted for publication in the serie, the ULB will conclude an author's contract with you regarding the online publication.
  • Please format your manuscript in accordance with the guidelines for the series and submit it to Waxmann Verlag. If required, the publisher can format the work for you for an additional fee.
  • Once formatting is complete, we create the cover for the publication. Waxmann Verlag creates the print file and we take care of creating the online publication.
  • You will receive our invoice for the online publication.
  • The ULB publishes the digital open access version on miami, the University of Münster's publication server.
    The publication is reported to the "Verzeichnis lieferbarer Bücher" (VLB) for five years.
  • Waxmann Verlag produces the printed copies, and you submit ten mandatory copies to us.
  • Eight of the ten mandatory copies are exchanged with other libraries.
  • We will provide you with information on registering the work with VG WORT.

Your Work stays your Work

As an author, you only grant ULB Münster a so-called "simple right of use." Therefore, you can continue to publish your work in other forms if necessary, provided that no other agreements have been made with the Publisher Waxmann Verlag. Permission from ULB is not required for further use. When republishing, please be sure to refer to the open access publication in the series.

The Author Contract

An author contract is concluded between you and us. It regulates costs, services, rights of use, etc.

Costs

There are no costs for publishing the digital open access version on the publication server miami.

We charge a service fee of 100 euros for our support and additional services.
