Information for Lecturers

Aim of the certificate

The Certificate Digital Humanities enables students of the departments 01, 02, 08, 09 and 10 of the University of Münster to build up practical skills in the field of Digital Humanities. The certificate provides students with proof that they have continuously familiarized themselves with central fields of Digital Humanities. In addition to basic knowledge of information technology, the certificate teaches skills in the practical use of Digital Humanities methods. They learn at least one programming language and its practical applications in the Digital Humanities. In doing so, students develop an understanding of the requirements, possibilities and challenges of digital data processing in the Humanities and learn to transcend disciplinary boundaries in interdisciplinary exchange.
