If you are interested in pursuing a post-doctoral research project in a research group of the Faculty of Biology at Münster University, you need to contact the group leader directly. Advanced post-doctoral researchers may lead their own independent research groups within or associated to and supported by one of the established research groups. We are encouraging early scientific independence: young research group leaders profit equally from financial support through the Faculty’s performance based budget distribution (“leistungsorientierte Mittelvergabe LOM”) and may even have equivalent rights as junior professors.
University of Münster particularly supports young female researchers pursuing an academic career, e.g. through a dedicated mentoring program aimed at excellent female post-doctoral researchers and young research group leaders.
