Integrated Carbon Observation Systems

The Integrated Carbon Observation System Research Infrastructure ICOS RI is a European-wide greenhouse gas research infrastructure that operates more than 150 stations across 16 European countries. The objectives of this large infrastructure are to 1) produce standardized, high-precision and long-term greenhouse gas data from Atmosphere, Ecosystem and Ocean stations, and support policy- and decision-making to combat climate change and its impacts. The Biosphere-Atmosphere Interaction group contributes to the German network of ICOS stations (ICOS-DE) with the peatland flux station, Amtsvenn (DE-Amv).
