Scival Licencing

As part of the development of bibliometric competences at the WWU, SciVal was initially licensed for a test period of two years.
SciVal provides access to the publication history of more than 20,000 research institutions and 230 nations worldwide. Based on the Scopus publication database, a high level of coverage is achieved in the natural and life sciences; however, there are considerable gaps in the humanities and social sciences and with regard to German-language publications.
Access to SciVal allows all EMU members to present their own strengths in the context of planned funding applications with a view to possible competition. This will be particularly helpful where a comprehensive presentation of the national and international environment is expected and unique selling points of the project need to be documented.
The tool is available as a campus licence to all members of the WWU free of charge within the WWU network. WWU members can register on the platform and set up a personal account with which they can then log in each time they use the tool.

The Future Lab is setting up a working group on behalf of the Rectorate to support the test period. If you are interested in participating, please send an e-mail to zukunftslabor@uni-muenster.de.
