4. Diversity Dialogues in Classical Studies in Münster – Event review

On Monday, 18 May 2026, a discussion took place at the University of Münster’s Archaeological Museum as part of the “Diversity Dialogues in Classical Studies” series, featuring Prof. Dr Sabine Huy and Prof. Dr Patrick Sänger on the topic of “Otherness in Antiquity”. 

This year, the event was organised in cooperation with the Xenocracy research group.

As a panellist, Prof. Dr Patrick Sänger discussed perceptions, attributions and concepts in antiquity. The introduction was given by Prof. Dr Eva Krems, and the event was organised by Prof. Dr Hans Beck.

The student moderators were Ann-Kathrin Wolfsheimer and David Westerkamp.
