Advanced seminar with a field trip: 'Kunst und Xenokratie. Spanische Herrschaft und niederländische Akteure in Antwerpen und Brüssel im 16./17. Jahrhundert'

Summer term 2026, Wednesday 10–12

In the summer semester of 2026, a seminar organised by Prof. Dr Eva Krems and Prof. Dr Jens Niebaum will take place on the topic of ‘Kunst und Xenokratie. Spanische Herrschaft und niederländische Akteure in Antwerpen und Brüssel im 16./17. Jahrhundert’, which is linked to the FOR Xenocracy project. The accompanying field trip will take place from 24 to 31 August 2026.

4. Diversity Dialogues in Classical Studies

Subproject 1

On Monday, 18 May 2026, a discussion as part of the “Diversity Dialogues in Classical Studies” series will take place at the Archaeological Museum from 6 pm (followed by a reception), featuring Prof. Dr. Sabine Huy and Prof. Dr. Patrick Sänger on the topic of “Otherness in Antiquity”.
