Now open: Call #2 (2026) of the Ulysseus Seed Funding Programme for Joint Research & Innovation (R&I) Groups

This call invites researchers from our partner universities to apply for seed funding to either expand existing Ulysseus joint R&I Groups (supported in Call #1, 2025) or to establish new ones aligned with Ulysseus Innovation Hub topics. The call is open to existing joint Ulysseus R&I Groups but also for other researchers from Ulysseus partner universities who are interested in joining these groups or establish new ones (in any IH topic).

Key information:

  • Call opening: 4 May 2026 | Application deadline: 31 May 2026 | Implementation period: until 30 June 2027
  • Funding: up to 3,000 EUR per new applicant
  • The programme supports networking activities such as workshops, meetings, travel, and collaboration development. It aims to foster long-term research cooperation, enhance mobility, and stimulate innovative joint research initiatives across the alliance.
  • Due to limited resources, priority will be given to proposals focused on the expansion of existing groups by involving new applicants who bring clear added value and strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration within the Ulysseus community. Please note that there is no budget available in this call for partners from the Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Finland) and the University of Genoa (Italy).
  • Eligibility highlights, application, and selection procedure can be found in detail in the Call website and document: https://ulysseus.eu/calls/ulysseus-seed-funding-programme-for-joint-research-and-innovation-groups-call-2/
