FUTURABILITIES in Action: Embodied Grounding for Shapers of the Future
How can we contribute to a future worth living in the face of socio-ecological challenges?
This one-day workshop by the Centre for Interdisciplinary Sustainability Research (ZIN) at the University of Münster, part of the Ulysseus research group FUTURABILITIES, combines embodiment, improvisation and mindfulness. Through movement and shared experience, participants explore future skills – beyond “right” and “wrong”. The workshop is led by Brigitte Heusinger von Waldegge (Philipps-Universität Marburg). No prior experience is needed.

Innovation for Cultural Heritage
12 - 14 October 2026 | University of Genoa, Italy
How can innovation contribute to the preservation and future of cultural heritage? The three-day workshop “Innovation for Cultural Heritage”, organised by the Ulysseus Joint R&I Group Innovation Strategies for Cultural Heritage (ISCH), brings together researchers and experts to explore new approaches, research opportunities and collaborations at the intersection of cultural heritage, management, digitalisation, diagnostics and restoration.
The workshop combines introductory sessions, presentations and open discussions, interactive focus groups, networking opportunities and a field visit to Genoa’s historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Participants are also invited to contribute their own research questions to the workshop and engage in discussions on future research collaborations. The programme further addresses how Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) can be integrated into research project design.

INNOVA 2026 – Innovative Approaches to Ageing and Well-being
What will ageing look like in the future – and how can research help us age well?
Université Côte d’Azur invites researchers, PhD candidates, postdocs, professors and start-ups to the second edition of INNOVA in Nice. Over two days of keynotes, oral and poster presentations, start-up pitches, panel discussions and networking, the conference explores four themes: complexity science for ageing research and practice, the ageing brain in the Neuroscience 3.0 era, digital interfaces as solution or risk, and economic and social transformation in the demographic transition.
