Development and Evaluation of the ViU Video Portal for Teacher Training

Within the framework of the ViU project, a video portal for teacher training was created, which showcases teaching videos from primary school science education as well as selected video clips, in which essential facets of class management, cognitive activation, and the content structuring of teaching situations can be demonstrated and analyzed. In addition to the classroom film series, viewers of the site are also provided with course logs, materials for student and teachers, as well as transcripts and clips. The video portal can be used for training seminars and workshops within the framework of education and further education for students, teachers, and other educational staff.

Currently the video portal is being expanded through the addition of further classroom series and scenes, and it will be evaluated.
