Guarda un buen recuerdo de su estancia en la Facultad de Físicas de Münster? Entonces quizás como antiguo alumno, le interese saber lo que sucede hoy en día en la Facultad. Hemos fundado el “Club Alumni de Físicas” para, de una forma informal, poder mantenernos en contacto.
Si nos deja su dirección de correo electrónico (en caso de que no disponga de una, también podemos enviarle información a través del correo ordinario), le informaremos de vez en cuando sobre los acontecimientos que tienen lugar en la Facultad, sobre algún encuentro de antiguos alumnos que organicemos o incluso podrá participar en la promoción del estudio de la Física.
Disponemos de una página de registro (Anmeldeseite), donde puede suscribirse a nuestra lista de correos. También puede registrarse en esta lista accediendo al siguiente link Alumni-Club der Universität Münster. Allí, indicando su antiguo Departamento y aceptando la casilla de “Ihre Nachricht an uns:” (Su mensaje), recibirá noticias del Club Alumni de vez en cuando. Tenga en cuenta, que si lo desea, puede cancelar su suscripción en cualquier momento.
Si tiene alguna duda sobre nuestras actividades o si quiere inscribirse de una manera muy informal, puede comunicárnoslo dirigiéndose vía email (alumni.physik@uni-muenster.de) a nuestros representantes de antiguos alumnos (actualmente Prof. Dr. Helmut Kohl, o Prof. a. D.).
Stipendien-Programm ProTalent
Sie wissen sicherlich, dass der Begriff Alumni (die „Ernährten“) ursprünglich ausgediente Soldaten, später Zöglinge einer höheren Schule bezeichnete, die „mit Speis und Trank versorgt und in allen guten Sitten unterrichtet“ wurden (Johann Heinrich Zedler: Grosses vollständiges Universal-Lexicon Aller Wissenschafften und Künste. Band 1, Leipzig 1732, Spalte 1620). Heute bezeichnet man als Alumni in der Regel ehemalige Absolventen von Hochschulen, denen man denn auch zutraut, Paten von aktuellen „Zöglingen“ zu werden und diese in ihrem Studium zu unterstützen. Es gibt seit einiger Zeit das Stipendienprogramm ProTalent, welches Jahresstipendien in Höhe von 3600 Euro an förderungswürdige Studierende vergibt. Der Clou an der Geschichte ist, dass nur die Hälfte dieser Summe aus privaten Spenden kommen muss, die andere Hälfte wird vom Bund hinzugegeben. Wenn Sie ihrem ehemaligen Fachbereich für die empfangene fachliche Ausbildung und die reichen Angebote zur Persönlichkeitsbildung etwas zurückgeben wollen, können Sie dies mit einer beliebigen Spende tun. Sobald insgesamt 1800 Euro zusammenkommen, kann ein Stipendium vergeben werden! Ihre Beteiligung am Stipendienprogramm ProTalent können Sie als Spende steuerlich absetzen.

Cuatro ex-alumnos de física, a saber, el Dr. Hans-Jörg Assenbaum (consultor independiente para empresas, apoyo a empresas en fase inicial como mentor y miembro del consejo de supervisión), el Dr. Volker Eyert (Científico Senior de Materials Design S.A.R.L., Francia), el Dr. Volker Hamelbeck (Director de I+D de XRF en SPECTRO Analytical Instruments GmbH) y el Dr. Ingo Holtkötter (Experto en accidentes de tráfico así como en electricidad y electrónica de vehículos de motor, Schimmelpfennig+Becke GmbH & Co. KG, Münster) informó sobre las exigencias profesionales y las experiencias actuales como físicos en forma de conferencias, preguntas y discusiones. Además de los ex-alumnos, el principal grupo objetivo fueron los actuales estudiantes del departamento de física. Agradecemos una vez más a los oradores por haber venido.

Nuestro ex-alumno Prof. Dr. Michael Wiescher (Universidad de Notre Dame, Indiana) recibió el Premio 2018 de la División de Astrofísica de Laboratorio (LAD) de la Sociedad Astronómica Americana (AAS).

Este 2018 se celebrará un “Día de Alumni”. La Facultad de Físicas hará un gran esfuerzo, para que exalumnos extranjeros puedan acudir a la cita.
What can you expect from this meeting? On the eve (hence the 6th of July) you are invited to the “Schlossgartenfest” of the university.
On the 7th of July you are invited to participate in the “Alumnitag” (day of the alumni) starting in the “Fürstenberghaus” (close to the cathedral). After a welcome by the president of the university and a retrospect of the activities of the last year, the historian Prof. Dr. Thomas Großbölting will take you on a journey through time to the student protests in 1968. This part will be in German. If there is sufficient interest, we'll try to arrange a guided tour in English through an archeological exhibition in the same building. During the following brunch you'll have ample time to meet other alumni. If you like to participate in the brunch we kindly ask you to register at the website go.wwu.de/alumnitag (open from the 9th of May; cost: 15 EUR per person older than 14).
The subsequent programme in the physics department is planned as follows:
14:00 Welcome by the dean of the physics department (lecture hall HS 2 in the “IG1”-building, Wilhelm-Klemm-Straße 10, 48149 Münster.
14:30 Visit of the Center for Soft Nanoscience (SoN) The guided tours will take place in the Busso-Peus-Straße 10, 48149 Münster. We are planning for one tour in English.
The research programme of the SoN aims at the investigation and understanding of the fundamental processes of the production of biomimetic functional materials using the bottom-up principle. Within this range the research is focused on functionalized three-dimensional nanomaterials and nano-containers. An important aspect for the understanding at the molecular level as well as for the understanding of nonlinear processes of self-organisation is the combination of experimental approaches and theoretical models.

If there is sufficient interest, we could arrange an additional event in town on Sunday morning the 8th of July. This could be e.g. a guided tour through the old town in English, French or Spanish, a visit of the peace hall and/or the new Foucault pendulum by Gerhard Richter ... . Also a visit of the peace exhibitions commemorating the 370th anniversary of the end of the 30years’ war and the 100th anniversary of the end of WW1 is conceivable. Other suggestions are also very welcome!
We kindly ask you to mail to alumni.physik@uni-muenster.de by 7th of May if possible if you want to participate at the physics-“Alumnitag”. Please mention your full name.
In particular, we would like to know:- Do you want to participate at the “Schlossgartenfest” on Friday evening? (Potentially we could reserve a regulars table for the physics- alumni.)

El Instituto de Física Aplicada celebró este día el 50 aniversario de su asentamiento en el edificio de Corrensstr. 2-4. Más información en Alumniseite des Instituts für Angewandte Physik.
Seguramente sea interesante para los físicos la charla que impartió el profesor Dr. Raimar Wulkenhaar (Departamento de Matemáticas) a las 15:30 en el aula “Hörsaal M5” bajo el título: “Ondas gravitacionales- 100 años de la Teoría de la Relatividad General”. Nuestro exalumno Prof. Dr. Klaus Bartschat (Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa, USA) ha sido galardonado con el premio “ Will Allis Prize for the Study of Ionized Gases “ de la American Physical Society, valuado en 10.000$.
