Prof. Dr. Helmut Telle, Department of Physics and Centre for Nanohealth, Swansea University, UK

In early 2010 Swansea University's new Centre for NanoHealth (CNH) began its operation. It is supposed to deliver "unique interdisciplinary research based on the application of Nanotechnology leading to innovations in Healthcare". In this talk we will specifically address spectroscopic techniques directed toward the analysis of biomedical tissue, including micro-Raman imaging, tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (TERS), near-field scanning optical microscopy (NSOM), and optical tweezing.
