Teaching Focus

Quantum Information, Quantum Networks

Before joining the University of Münster, I taught courses and supervised project groups at Paderborn University, including: * Quantum Information * Quantum Networks * Advanced seminars in quantum information science * Project groups * Several Master's thesis projects

Research Focus

Multipartite Entanglement, Graph States, Higher-Dimensional Quantum Systems (Qudits), Quantum Networks, Quantum Error Correction, Quantum Cryptography

In the Theoretical Quantum Communication Group, we develop the theoretical foundations and practical concepts required for future quantum communication systems, with a particular focus on quantum networks, quantum error correction, and quantum cryptography.

I am Junior Professor (W1) of Quantum Information Theory at the University of Münster, where I lead the Theoretical Quantum Communication Group. Before joining the University of Münster in 2026, I led an independent junior research group in Quantum Information at Paderborn University.

I received my Ph.D. from the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO) in Barcelona under the supervision of Prof. Antonio Acín. I subsequently held postdoctoral positions at ICFO and Virginia Tech, where I worked with Prof. Sophia Economou and Prof. Edwin Barnes.

My research combines ideas from quantum information theory, mathematics, and coding theory to develop new approaches to quantum communication, quantum networks, and quantum error correction.
