    Anna Davydova studied communication science at the University of Münster, where she worked as an academic tutor and student assistant. In her master’s thesis, she explored emotionalization in quality journalism and conducted an automated analysis of political reporting. Since October 2023, she has been a research assistant and doctoral candidate at the Online Communication Research Group led by Prof. Dr. Thorsten Quandt. She is working on a third-party funded research project of the Cluster of Excellence “Religion & Politics” analyzing new ideological movements in online environments. Her research focuses on journalism studies, online communication, alternative media, and patchwork spirituality in the digital space. She is writing her dissertation on the topic “Drawing Boundaries in Knowledge Production in Journalistic and Alternative Media.”
