The sculpture Der zerstörte Mensch was originally acquired as part of the NRW Kunst am Bau Program for a new building for the NRW State Health Center at Von-Stauffenberg-Straße 36 in Münster. After the center moved to Joseph-König-Straße 35, the property was sold by the Construction and Real Estate Management Agency NRW in 2024. Two new locations were found on the campus of the University of Münster for the two Kunst am Bau works that remained in the possession of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
