University Choir Münster
The Münster University Choir was founded in 1981 by Prof. Herma Kramm. Since then, the choir, which currently has around 120 members, can look back on a successful and intensive concert career. Since 2023, the choir has been directed by Volker Hagemann, who wants to bring the established repertoire, as well as rarely performed works, to the stage with the ensemble. The interdisciplinary approach is intended to provide singers and audiences with new perspectives on often-heard works. New choir members are welcome in all voices at the beginning of each semester, with consideration given to tonal balance. Participation in the choir may be counted toward General Studies.
