30 years of "campus relations"
(01.08.2025) The student initiative ‘campus relations e. V.’ is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and shows how student engagement can bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical experience. Students – especially those studying communication science – have the opportunity to gain practical experience in public relations, take on responsibility and build professional networks.
The university group was founded in 1995 as the ‘PR Forum’ and has developed into a registered association with over 40 active members. The aim is to supplement theoretical studies with practical experience. As part of the association's work, workshops and excursions are organised and PR projects with companies are implemented. One highlight is the planning of the career and networking fair ‘create imPRessions’, which is organised annually by ‘campus relations’.
The association's long history and continued success show that combining study and practice pays off – not only for the personal development of students, but also for companies, which benefit from the fresh perspective of young PR talents.
The university newspaper wissen|leben reported on ‘campus relations’ in its fourth issue on 12 June 2025. The article can be accessed here.
