KI-generated images do not fall under the usual copyright and must be marked as "AI-generated" due to the European AI Act – at the latest by 1 August 2026. The marking must be clear, unambiguous and clearly visible.

Therefore, a checkbox has been integrated into the image upload in the MAM of Imperia, with which you can mark KI-generated image material. When the checkbox is activated, the otherwise mandatory copyright field below is hidden and no longer needs to be filled out. In the frontend output, the activated checkbox then ensures the uniform marking of the image with the words "Image AI-generated" instead of the normal copyright output (which is not needed here).

If you have already uploaded KI-generated image material to the MAM and worked with alternative marking solutions: the checkbox can also be retroactively maintained.
