On 22 January 2026, the Faculty of History/Philosophy will host its Doctorate Day. The event for advanced students and doctoral candidates will take start at 10 a.m. in room JO 101 and aims to provide information from various perspectives on all practical aspects of doctoral studies at the faculty.
The faculty organises itself into institutes and seminars and is also involved in several overarching research institutions at the University of Münster.
In their research, the disciplines gathered in the faculty cooperate with each other and with partners outside the faculty in a variety of ways.

With its extensive collection, the Archaeological Museum of the University of Münster offers all those interested exciting insights into the arts and crafts of ancient cultures of the Mediterranean, the Near East, Ancient Egypt, South Arabia and the late medieval and early modern Münster.
