The research group for Modern and Social History of Jun-Prof. Dr. Christine Fertig deals with family and kinship history, history of rural society, consumer history, body and medical history, and a history of knowledge of globalization. Our special focus is on the application of social science and digital methods, especially historical network analysis and digital text analysis (digital humanities). Since February 2020, we carry out a DFG-funded project on the Consumer Revolution and Northwest German Households (for more information, click here).
