The Institute for Geoinformatics (ifgi) at the University of Münster was founded in 1994, as the first of its kind in Germany and one of the first in Europe. Today, ifgi is known world-wide for its research and education in Geographic Information Science. Looking back on twenty years of innovation, and forward to new challenges, the celebration of the Institute's anniversary from June 10th to 17th, 2014 will bring together renowned researchers and rising stars.
The celebration will include four parts:
- June 10 - ifgi anniversary celebration
- June 11 - scientific symposium
- June 12 - think tank on Geoinformatics (on invitation)
- June 12-17 - ifgi summer school 2014
