Collection Manager – digital collection management
The Collection Manager is a service provided by ULB Münster that enables all scientific collections of the university to professionally catalog and manage their collection objects.
Using datasafe, which is provided and operated by the ULB Münster, researchers of the University can archive their research data on university servers free of charge for a duration of ten years.
datastore is a service of the ULB Münster for publishing research data. In datastore, scientists can publish their research data free of charge in order to make it permanently publicly available and citable.
eLab – electronic lab notebook
Electronic lab notebooks (ELN) offer researchers completely new ways of documenting their experimental work. The ULB Münster provides all members of the university with a web service for using an electronic lab notebook; customized and effective on the basis of the software eLabFTW.
Media Manager – digital asset management
The ULB Münster provides all members of the university with the Media Manager, which can be used to capture, store and analyze photos, videos, 3D scans and other digital objects in a standardized way.
Omero – manage microscopy data
OMERO is an image database for microscopy data and is maintained by the Münster Imaging Network. It enables the management, visualization and analysis of scientific data. Aspects such as data backup, metadata management and the publication of original data in accordance with the FAIR principles are also supported.
PALMA II - High Performance Computing
In the case of complex numerical simulations for which normal workstation computers are no longer sufficient, high-performance hardware is required. For this purpose, the CIT offers the high-performance computing system PALMA II.
The CIT provides free personal storage space for every member of the University of Münster. After successful authentication, this storage can be accessed flexibly within the university network.
sciebo is the non-commercial cloud storage of the state of NRW for research, studies and teaching. With sciebo, you can synchronize files on different devices, share them with other users and edit them in a collaborative way.
The Uni Cloud Münster is available to research groups and central facilities at the University of Münster for storing large volumes of research data or for operating own services.
