AssetManager – manage digital media and content
Service: AssetManager is a web based Digital Asset Management (DAM) service. It enables university units, including departments, institutes, and service centers, to easily and centrally manage, store, and deliver digital media and assets with an enterprise grade solution built on widely accepted standards and data models.
AssetManager is built on the fylr platform and is operated by the University and State Library (ULB) in Münster on the university’s own infrastructure.
Service features:
- Ingestion and cataloguing of digital media e.g. images, videos, graphics, and informational materials, using a standardized metadata model
- Versioning of digital assets
- Powerful import capabilities, including automatic EXIF/IPTC metadata mapping
- Management of licenses, image rights and copyrights
- A wide range of options for exporting and automatically delivering assets in multiple versions, sizes and formats (e.g., for social media use)
- Role and permission management to support collaborative workflows
- Central data hosting and configuration by the ULB Münster, with regular backups
