Neuerscheinung: Thomas Bremer (ed.): Religion and the Conceptual Boundary in Central and Eastern Europe.
Palgrave Macmillan 2008.
242 p., £50.00, ISBN: 978-0-230-55076-6. This volume is about the
"conceptual boundary" in Europe, a
boundary determined by Western and Eastern Christianity. It researches how this
boundary has developed over different periods and epochs and in different
places. It also shows that the boundary has never been a stable and defined
division, but has been subject to change and development as well as being a
place of encounter and exchange between religions and cultures. There is no
purely Western or purely Eastern Church; one has influenced the other.
