    Nandagopal R. Menon, holding a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from Utrecht University, has worked as a research fellow and lecturer at the University of Münster's Cluster of Excellence "Religion and Politics" and at the Universities of Göttingen and Leiden. Besides a monograph, Intra-Muslim Polemics in South India: Intimacies, Mass Publicity and Secularism (Oxford University Press, 2024), his published work has appeared in leading journals such History of Religions and Modern Asian Studies. His research interests include religion, media, divination and death, primarily focused on south Asia and the Persian Gulf.
