From Everyday Phenomena to Nanotechnology

We combine chemistry and physics to turn simple micro- and nanoparticles into smart, adaptive building blocks. Inspired by everyday phenomena such as coffee stains, cereals, latte macchiato and even kids’ toys, we use familiar effects as a starting point to develop new concepts for nanomaterials, responsive systems, nanostructuring and microscopic machines.
