Work placements in Germany and abroad
Before you begin a (foreign) work placement there are certain aspects you need to consider. For example, you should gather information about potential employers, have your work placement agreement with the foreign employer signed by the Careers Service, or you might need support with organisational matters. For such requests, we offer regular consultation hours at which you can ask questions and receive advice on where to find more detailed information.
What should I do in advance to prepare for my appointment?
Watch our video “Vorbereitung eines Praktikums im In- oder Ausland” (“How to Arrange a Work Placement in Germany or Abroad”, in German only) in the University’s Learnweb (accessible with your ZIV user ID). This video provides detailed answers to the most frequently asked questions about work placements. Any unresolved questions can be discussed in detail at your counselling session.
