Lecture Series, Winter Term 2025/2026: Global Politics, Gender, and (In-)Equality
on selected Thursdays, 14.15 – 15.45 pm, online via Zoom

The lecture series unpacks the complex entanglements of politics, gender, and (in-)equality in contemporary societies. Renowned international scholars address how power structures and struggles shape and are shaped by intersectional sexual politics, gendered experiences and identities. From hate speech and anti-gender movements to postcolonial feminist resistance and queering human rights, the speakers critically explore how (in-)equality is constructed – and how it is contested.

Selected lectures are dedicated to key international days drawing attention to the urgent issues they spotlight.

Organization in cooperation with Dr. Inga Nüthen, Head of the Research Group on International Gender Politics and Qualitative Methods, University of Kassel, as well as Prof. Dr. Ulrike Krause and Dr. Rieke Schröder, CIGS, Institute for Political Science, University of Münster

This winter semester, the INTA Office and the Research Network Gender am Mittelbau are organizing the first edition of a lecture series for all those interested. Through their work in various departments, the lecturers can present intersectional perspectives and have prepared interactive offerings alongside their presentations.
