ALEA-Series

The series “ALEA. Arabische Literatur und Rhetorik, Elfhundert bis Achtzehnhundert“ is being edited by Prof. Thomas Bauer and Prof. Syrinx von Hees. It was founded in 2014 along with the Leibniz Award Research Group of the same name at Münster University.

The first publication was the 2015 monograph by Werner Diem on intercession letters in the Arabic-islamic world between the 8th and the 14th centuries. The series aims at shedding light on the development of Arabic literature from the 11th to the 18th century.
