Throughout the year, there are activities for pupils at MExLab Physik [de]. Whether as part of school visits, during the holidays in the holiday events or on private occasions, you can even celebrate your birthday here in addition to exciting workshops - there is always something going on at MExLab Physik.
Every year in autumn, young scientists from the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Department of Physics organise the Astro Seminar. Over two days, everything will be about astrophysics, astronomy, cosmology and related sciences.
Pupils who are interested in physics are very welcome to take part in the free event. Previous knowledge is not required. Registration is possible via the Astroseminar webpage [de].
You are welcome to visit the institutes or laboratories of the department with your school class or course and find out about the research carried out there. Of course, you can also take this opportunity to attend a lecture to get an insight into everyday study life. The lectures Physics 1 and 2 are ideal for this. You can find information about the dates and other lectures in the current course catalogue. At a particle physics masterclass, you and your friends or class can analyse real CERN data and identify particle traces.
You can find information about the programme on the Institute of Nuclear Physics page and at Particle World Network [de].
Another way to get to know one of the institutes is to complete a work placement there. The various institutes with an experimental focus are ideal for this. We will be happy to contact the institutes for you. If you have any questions, please contact Physikstudium@uni-muenster.de.
