Information for accompanying adults
- The primary aim of the Children's University is to inspire children to enjoy learning and to encourage their natural curiosity.
- Please note: The Children's University is not intended to compete with school. The most important rule is therefore that children should choose the topics that interest them. Please do not pressure your child to attend if they do not want to.
- Children should be able to read fluently and feel comfortable spending 45 minutes independently in a lecture hall. If your child is too young to concentrate and remain quiet for this length of time, attending a lecture may not be the right experience for them. The lectures are designed for children aged 8 to 12. Younger children may find it difficult to follow the content, while older children may become bored.
- Please do not give your children sweets or drinks to take into the lectures.
- As the name suggests, the Children's University is an event for children. Accompanying adults are welcome to enjoy a break in one of the nearby cafés so that seats in the lecture hall can be reserved for the children. Further information can be found in our terms and conditions of participation.
Of course, if a child requires an accompanying adult for special reasons, this is absolutely possible.
