The lectures are held in German

What kind of clothing hung in the wardrobes of the Greeks and Romans? Are insects the superheroes of the animal kingdom? Can seals take legal action in court?

These and many other questions are answered by researchers from the University of Münster in the Q.UNI children's lectures. It is an exciting and challenging task, as the young students are a critical audience and want to know everything! In child-friendly language, lecturers from all disciplines explain what their research is about, why their work is important, and how the topic relates to children.

Insects – The Superheroes of the Animal Kingdom

Insects are small – but they are truly remarkable! Although they often seem inconspicuous, they possess amazing abilities. They live almost everywhere in the world: in forests, on colorful meadows, in water, and even in the middle of our cities. They are true survival experts and perfectly adapted to their habitats.

What superpowers do insects have? How do they live? And why are they so important for our planet?

These questions will be answered in the next Children's Lecture on June 26, from 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m., in Lecture Hall SP7 (Schlossplatz 7, 48143 Münster).

And who knows—perhaps we'll even get to meet some of these superheroes in person...
