The Münster Center for Open Science (MüCOS) provides scientifically sound support for researchers at the University of Münster in the areas of transparent and reliable research and develops the meta-scientific foundations of Open Science. Besides a variety of services, the MüCOS conducts meta-research on the transparency robustness of scientific findings. In our talk, we will explore the role of Open Science for Data Science and adjacent fields using the concepts of open access, data sharing and reproducibility. We argue that Data Science can be a place where interdisciplinary expertise surrounding handling of data and models can converge.
