Introduction to the eLabFTW API: Importing, Exporting, and Automating Data

Dear eLabFTW users and everyone interested in eLabFTW, we cordially invite you to the eLabFTW training session “Introduction to the eLabFTW API: Importing, Exporting, and Automating Data”. It will take place on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. via Zoom in English. Presenters: Nicole Roloff (BA, Data Librarian), Maike Sommer (MA) and Adienne Karsten-Welker (MA, M.LIS). Topics are: What is an API? What can I use it for? What do I need to use it? Open-source API clients for API queries and Example script for importing resources into eLabFTW. Target audience: This training session is designed for researchers, technical staff, and data stewards who would like to learn more about the eLabFTW API. The session provides an overview of the eLabFTW API documentation and explains the elements required to create an API request. We look forward to your participation!
