Mobility Fund

The Mobility Fund supports outstanding students at the University of Münster in gaining academic experience beyond their own study and research environment. Funding is available for research visits to established research groups in Germany and abroad, as well as for active participation in academic conferences.

The aim of the fund is to enable promising bachelor's, master's, and doctoral students to engage in academic and international mobility at an early stage of their careers. The funding provides opportunities to present their own research, build academic networks, gain new methodological and disciplinary perspectives, and further develop their academic profiles.

Active conference participation is characterized by students making a substantive contribution to the academic exchange. Eligible activities include, for example, delivering oral presentations, presenting posters, leading workshops, moderating discussion sessions, or serving as a panel chair at distinguished conferences relevant to their respective field of study. Active conference participation is funded with up to €300 for conferences held in Germany and up to €500 for conferences abroad.

In addition, the Mobility Fund supports so-called Research Visits. These include, for example, visits to renowned research groups, research conducted in archives, or laboratory stays. Such visits are intended to contribute to students' academic profile development, disciplinary networking, and the advancement of their bachelor's, master's, doctoral, or other research projects. Research visits to research groups in Germany and abroad may be funded with up to €500.
