Performing on stage

Have you always wanted to try your hand at acting on the stage? You can do just that on the Studio Stage!

Here, student theatre groups from within the university rehearse and develop their own plays, ranging from classical to experimental. External theatre groups hire the Studiobühne to perform their plays there. Have a look at the ‘Groups and Ensembles’ page. There you’ll find the contact details of the groups that are welcoming new members.

Don’t have any theatre experience yet and want to try out what it’s like on stage without the pressure of a performance? Then the Theatre Workshop might be just the thing for you. Julia Bodenburg’s Theatre Workshop takes place as part of the General Studies programme, on Wednesdays from 6.15 pm to 7.45 pm on the Studio Stage. You can find further information via HISLSF [ University of Münster Course Catalogue]. You can register for the course by 30 September 2026, with the subject line ‘Theatre Workshop’, at studiobuehne@uni-muenster.de. Places on the course are limited.
