About Buch & Bühne

"Buch & Bühne" brings literature to the stage.

"Buch & Bühne" is an independent reading ensemble based at the Centrum for Rhetoric at the University of Münster, under the direction of Dr Julia Neumann.

The heart of our work is "Aufgeblättert": Since 2023, in cooperation with the Schatzinsel bookshop, we have been presenting new German-language literary releases each fall during the "Bücherherbst" by critically reviewing them and reading excerpts aloud.

Since 2020, we have also been participating in the nationwide "Bundesweiter Vorlesetag" in various group configurations. To foster children's motivation to read, we read from children's books in school classes, at reading nights, and at other events in elementary schools or libraries.
