If you:

• already have skills in a foreign language and want to improve them,
• if you have a minimum German level of A2(at least a C-Test scor of 31 points)
• are interested in the culture and society of the target language country/countries,
• want to practice a professional exchange of ideas in the foreign language and
• want to give support to somebody who wants to learn your mother tongue and know more about your own culture

...then register for our tandem programme! Registration starts every 15 September for the winter semester and every 15 March for the summer semester. 
Please note:  All registrations before the respective registration start date cannot be considered

Deadlines for the registration

- if you want to obtain credit points for your studies/learning agreement: until 10 April 2026

- if you do not need credit points: throughout the whole semester.

Please note that if we cannot find a tandem partner for you before the announced deadline, participation in the tandem programme with ECTS is not possible. Nonetheless, you can still register for a tandem partner without obtaining the credits.

HOW DO I REGISTER?

1. Click on the link below.
2. To open the document you need to sign in with your university email-identification (for example: r_mele01) and your password (to be found in the letter you will receive from the International Office once you are in Münster).

Please note:

• Due to the very high number of registrations we receive, we will only send you an answer if we can find a tandem partner for you. You can check your current status in your user profile.
• Please note that we do NOT match on a 'first come, first served' - basis! 
• If you are going to stay for two semesters, make sure to register again for the following semester.

• The acquisition of credit points (ECTS) for participation in the tandem programme is only possible if you have been matched before the last introductory session. Please note the deadlines for the respective semester. If you are assigned a tandem partner after this deadline, participation is only possible without obtaining credit points.

• We will only get in contact with you through your University of Münster- email address. Please make sure you check it regularly (and also your spam folder).

Data privacy: By sending in the registration form the sender agrees that their data will be saved and used for the matching process of the tandem programme and that, in case a tandem partner has been found, the data will be forwarded to the tandem partner.
